Melissa

Melissa is a board certified Physician Assistant who loves working with children. After marrying her high-school sweetheart in 1996, they moved to Texas in 1997 where she started college and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in 2003 and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock in 2005.

Melissa has worked in the pediatric primary care setting since 2006. She is a lifetime member of the Society for Physician Assistants in Pediatrics (SPAP) and is committed to the specialty.

Melissa and her husband, Jorge, moved their family, two girls, Jordan and Alexandria, and two boys, Jesse and Christian, to Leander in 2010. Since then, they have celebrated 4 graduations, 2 children’s marriages, and 3 grandbabies, Elliott, Reece and Aaliyah. Melissa loves traveling, concerts, sports and spending quality time with her friends and family. She is excited to get to know and serve the families of Modern Pediatrics!
