Anna

Anna is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa and has been a Texas transplant since 2006. She received her Bachelors of Science and Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston) and her Master's of Science and Nursing from the University of Missouri Kansas City.

Before going back to school for her Masters, Anna spent 15 years as a NICU nurse, 9 of those years spent as a High Risk NICU Transport Nurse. After completion of graduate school Anna continued to work with the pediatric population in primary care. She also feels blessed to have spent time working with our chronically ill and elderly population within the infusion setting.

Anna always strives to make a connection with each child before starting a visit, ensuring a level of comfort and trust. She has a passion for working with children and has a special place for kids going through trauma or the loss of a loved one.

Anna lives in Round Rock, TX with her husband Caynan and their three boys Connor, Graham and Meyer. In her free time, she can be found watching her boys playing basketball, lacrosse or swimming. When she can she'll sneak in some time for yoga and reading for herself! :) Their family also has three amazing pups that are quite spoiled! Anna loves nothing more than cooking a new and delicious recipe for her family to enjoy! She looks forward to caring for the patients of Modern Pediatrics!
